I had a great experience and would certainly recommend Charlene's to anyone needing a cab! I used taxi service quite a bit this summer and wish I had used them all along. They are one price, not a meter which is much better and you can pay for your ride in advance or with the driver. They are not very expensive and very professional. Charlene's Safe Ride is a well operated company that employs people that genuinely care about the patrons they are transporting. My ride to RDU was smooth and safe and my driver was kind, courteous, and thoughtful. I also had an unfortunate incident of leaving my phone aboard the shuttle. It was later found by my driver. We've been loyally using Charlene's Safe Ride for the past few years and have yet to run into any of the usual gripes you'd find with other taxi and shuttle services in Durham. The drivers are often few minutes early, patiently waiting for us and always on time. They don't scoff at you when you want to use credit card (They've an online payment too), and their driver's have been congenial thus far.
