I was transported by Crowned Care to get my haircut. Donna Kaminsi was my driver on the way there. She was professional and treated me with kindness. I am a "Big Girl" with a wide wheelchair she made sure I was secure. Thank you Donna. On my way back home Karen Bohn was my driver. The van was smaller and it was a pretty tight fit. The back of the van was jacked up and that made it have an incline to the front. ( Hadn't noticed until we were in motion. Karen made sure I was completely strapped in and we were on our merry way lol. Almost immediately I felt I was slipping and sliding off my wheelchair(my shorts and the hoyer lift pad were NOT COOPERATING). I told Karen and she immediately pulled over into a parking lot to ascess the situation. She was so nice about it. My bestie was with me as always and tried her best to get me sitting correctly in my chair, meanwhile Karen was on the phone calling her boss and calling a couple drivers who were in a stretcher ambulance/transport van near us. These drivers came to my rescue! These 2 men lifted me up and got me strapped in once again. I'm sorry that I only caught one of their names, but they were both a Godsend! One of them, his name is Tyler must have sensed my fear and offered to ride with me in the back of this small van. He held onto that wheelchair and to me and made sure I was safe. The other driver followed us to where I live (Karen Bohn drove so cautiously while making sure we were fine. We made it to my place intact and very happy. Karen, Tyler and the other driver(I feel so bad not catching his name) went above and beyond to get me and my bestie home safe. I will always be grateful for their professionalism, their quick thinking and their care of me. I believe they were all heaven sent. I'm sorry my review is so long but this story was meant to told and shared. Thank you!
