I was on vacation with family in New Smyrna Beach, FL when I had a freak accident and broke my left hip at 35 years old. I underwent emergency surgery in Florida. As a resident of Pittsburgh, PA, we had to quickly find the safest way to return home. With mixed medical opinions on travel after surgery, we elected to use ACC Medlink to put our minds at ease. I would recommend this service to anyone in a similar situation. Our initial phone call to ACC Medlink was an immediate omen of comfort. The representative was knowledgeable and essentially laid out a plan for us. In four short days, the crew (Erik Luna - Medic, Bryan Gonzalez & Louie Turner - Drivers) showed up promptly to pick up myself, my partner, our vacation luggage, and new found "medical souvenirs!" They made everything look so easy. Once I was in the van and comfortable, Erik became fast friends with us. His presence immediately put both of us at ease and we knew we were in good hands. Throughout the trip, I was comfortable and Erik was so quick to lend a hand from the simplest position adjustment to the more complex personal needs. Once we safely arrived the 17 hours later in Pittsburgh, the crew quickly and safely unloaded me, my partner, and belongings. They were then off to do another 10 hour journey to help another person in need. The service and crew were truly a blessing in a difficult situation. I appreciate you all!
